The super prize for this week’s genealogy contest is ten hours of genealogical research ($350 value).

The Genealogy Contest Prize

Thanks go to professional genealogist, Tiffany Shapiro for this week’s generous prize.

Tiffany received her BA in Family History/Genealogy with an emphasis on U.S. research from Brigham Young University in 1996, and has 18 years experience in research, both professional and personal. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, Utah Genealogical Association, and the Utah Jewish Genealogical Society.

Tiffany’s expertise is in U.S. research, especially Eastern, Midwest, and Western. She lives near the Family History Library in Salt Lake and her website is www.whosyourgranddaddy.blogspot.com. She says, “If records are required for which there is a charge (like military/pension/birth/death certificates) the winner would need to bear that cost, but I wouldn’t order without permission. Other things like photocopies, my travel time, etc., will all be included.”

Make a comment in the comment box below and include 2 things:

1) the link to your Facebook page where you have shared news of this contest using the Share button below.

2) your email address so I can contact you if you win. You can type it using the word “at” instead of @, and “dot” instead of . for security (or add it in another comment choosing the Private option and letting me know which Facebook link it refers to in your public comment).

I’m desperate to find out more about my mom’s grandmother before she dies! We found her maiden name finally on her marriage certificate…but no parents or birth info except what was passed down verbally!
